925 sterling silver

Sterling silver is an alloy consisting of 92.5% pure silver. Silver is by nature a soft material. Therefore, silver is mixed with copper to give a robustness and better resistance to daily wear.

With time, silver will react with oxygen and darken. This can not be prevented, but you can make it's shine lasts longer and remove the oxidation by following the right care instructions from our care guide.

Care Instructions

With proper care, you can preserve the beauty of your jewellery for years to come.

To ensure the longevity of your Demant pieces, we recommend you to: 

- To treat your jewellery with care and avoid strenuous activities, which will expose your jewellery to knocks and scratches

- Taking off your jewellery before showering, washing your hands and going to bed

- To limit contact with your cosmetic products as much as possible

- Taking off your jewellery when using cleaning products, bleach and other chemicals

- Storing your pieces separately to avoid scratching

    The piece is made locally in Denmark at the designer’s studio, most often by Christina Demant herself or an assistant. Read more about our philosophy here

    We use recycled precious metals for our jewellery. They are sourced from certified responsible refiners such as C. Hafner, which has been audited for standards set by organizations such as the Responsible Minerals Initiative and London Bullion Market Association.
